The Danube is Europe’s second-longest river and as such it flows through many different places and is greeted by many beautiful natural wonders. We believe that the best way to experience a river of such size and such magnificence is not to watch it from the shore, but to forget the conventional and go kayaking.

Оn this kayaking tour you’ll get a chance to really feel the Danube while it meanders through Serbia. We’ll show you stunning monuments and archaeological sites, some dating from the Middle Ages and some even from the First Century AD. You’ll enjoy spectacular views and pristine nature that will leave no one indifferent.

You don’t need to have any experience or worry about the equipment. We’ll take care of everything and yours is to just enjoy the ride!

ITINERARY

Day 1: Danube kayaking

Early pickup at your address in Belgrade. On our way to the Danube Gorge (the Iron Gate) we will make a stop at Golubac Fortress dating from the Medieval period (XIV century). Our 4 hours kayak activity starts at the entrance of the Danube Gorge, a place where the Danube is deepest and where big cliffs make a spectacular view. We’ll continue downstream in a relaxing pace for around 10 km and visit some of the most interesting spots on the river: giant head of King Decebal curved in limestone rock and Tabula Traiana, Roman monument from First Century AD. During the river descent we will make breaks for lunch and swimming. After the kayaking adventure, a pure cultural experience awaits us: Lepenski Vir – archaeological site from the Mesolithic period (around 8000 BC). Transfer back to Belgrade in the evening hours.
