On this tour you’ll have a chance see beautiful historical and archeological sites of north-eastern Serbia and enjoy the view stretching over the Danube Gorge. To add a bit of adventure to this experience, we’ll also lead you through the cave passages hidden beneath the karst plateau of Miroč Mountain. You will explore the cave system unaltered by human hand and enjoy the beauty of the underwolrd. With a few technical parts, you’ll also learn how to climb down or climp up the rocks while using special equipment. ITINERARY
Day 1: Lepenski Vir and Danube gorge Hiking
Pick up at your address . Transfer to the Middle Danube region and visiting the medieval Golubac Fortress and Mesolithic archaeological site Lepenski Vir. After a very exciting historical walk, we will hike to Ploče, one of the best viewpoints of the Danube Gorge. Dinner and accommodation at Kladovo, 4* Hotel Danube Aquastar.
Day 2: Miroč Caving
Breakfast at the hotel. Short drive to Miroč Mountain. Hiking approach over the karst plateau to the cave entrance. Caving activity in a non-arranged cave with few technical sections. Transfer back to Belgrade.
